As opportunities present themselves, The Oregon Vagabond will be capturing some our our local street musicians playing on the streets of Eugene and posting them here for your enjoyment. If you see them, be sure to show your support and appreciation for their music.

The street music of Christopher Lee Olmstead

Christopher plays his music on the streets of Eugene. Here he’s playing in front of the downtown post office. You can also find him playing during the Eugene Saturday Market. Christopher has been homeless off and on for over 20 years and spent 14 of those years mostly here in Eugene. According to Christopher, there is one song in particular that he is best know for – the true story of his ex-wife stabbing him in the neck, miraculously missing his carotid artery and vocal chords. Christopher says that he plays for tips; he’s not a panhandler. His musical talent is a gift he loves to share. It’s his life.
